Video Techniques and Editing

In this session, participants will learn some of the basic concepts behind cinematography that kids can learn (e.g. nose room, wide angle shots, video cuts) and how to incorporate these ideas in their own movie creation. Throughout this, we will also learn the different features of iMovie and how to create digital stories that amplify student learning. We will then examine how the use of movies can be integrated into your curriculum, be it primary Language Arts or Grade 9 Science. We will also look at how the core competencies can be realized when using these tech tools. Come join me for a cinematography extravaganza that will have you and your students making Oscar worthy videos. Please bring a laptop or iPad loaded with iMovie.
