Math Materials: Cuisenaire Rods

Math materials are an essential component of mathematics teaching and learning. The use of concrete materials is a K-12 curricular competency and supports conceptual understanding and connection-making. In this "burst" session, the first 15 minutes will be a presentation about the math material and how it can be used in K-9 classrooms. This first part of the session will be recorded and posted for teachers to access. The second 15 minutes will be for sharing of ideas and questions/answers and is not recorded.

Target audience: K-9 teachers

Time: 3:30-4:00pm

A link to attend this online session will be emailed to registrants two days before the session and a small bag of math materials will be sent to registrants in school mail.
